Newly released Vista Fixes Expected to Boost Sales
Microsoft has already issued the first set of bug fixes for the product and they are hoping this would boost their sales.
A lot of consumer and businesses haven’t considered Windows Vista until they feel Microsoft has already released the final fixes to make the operating system stable.
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 has been available from Microsoft’s Windows Update site since March 18. Users who have chosen automatic updates since mid-April will get the fixes pushed out by Microsoft. Newly bought PCs are said to have the latest fixes already installed on their machines which makes sense.
According to Zipkin, Microsoft senios product manager, “Most of the fixes in Vista SP1 had been released already to users who get the regular, automatic updates, but SP1 includes some new fixes as well.
SP1 focused on improving the quality of the experience and making Windows run a bit faster in some cases and making it more reliable. We spent a lot of time looking at the most commonly occurring crashes and hangs.”
