Without a doubt Linux is vastly better, superior and much much much more stable and secure than Windows. It is like going from coca cola to 7up, once you break the addiction to clunky MS OS then you find a refreshing new OS that works for you and not on you! Ubuntu it only gets better!

That’s somewhat misleading. Put Stardock’s Object Desktop (under $50) on Vista and then do the comparison. With the exception of the cube UI effect, the Vista GUI will perform every bit as well — and can look like Leopard or any other skin. And the cube effect is also available via several third-party apps. Plus, you don’t have top recompile Vista to get a driver to work.

    hi,

I have to say its a nice video, but did you notice all people are focusing on the graphics effects comparisons between operating systems today. Is that all an OS has to offer. I mean Ubuntu & Vista both offer a lot more than these graphics effects. Especially Ubuntu fans seems to focus on how Ubuntu beat Vista graphics wise and forgot all the other directions that Vista got no chance to stand in the front of Ubuntu in it. If you look at a full comparison between the two products as the one I came across the other day at http://itcomparison.com/OS/vistavsubuntu/vistavsubuntu.htm
Please have a look at the other sides and let’s move on about the visual effects. Ubuntu has a lot more to offer than that.

    Enjoy,
