Place a Network Icon on Your Desktop

by Milo on January 17th, 2008

I have recently had a string of problems with my Internet Provider and as such I needed to access my Network Places more often than not; but unfortunately, the icon is not on my desktop for easy accessibility.

To have it readily available on the desktop:

1. Go to Desktop Personalization screen by right-clicking on the desktop and clicking on Personalize.
2. Click on Change desktop icons from the left side
3. Put a check on Network in the Desktop Icons Window.
4. Click apply/ok until all window closes

Hope this helps…
