RC1 for Windows XP Service Pack 3
Microsoft has extended its support for Windows XP and with it comes the latest Service Pack 3 candidate release.
Microsoft already released RC1 which is closest to production release. The package is about 340 MB and updates 32-Bit version of all editions of Windows XP. The release candidate comes in English, German and Japanese versions. A RC1 release site offers a script that can update your registry to have Windows Automatic update watch out of for the service pack.
Service Pack 3 contain patches and updates previously released in the total of 1000. Add-ons have also been included namely: Background Intelligent Transfer Service (Bits) 2.5, Windows Installer 3.1, Management-Console (MMC) 3.0 and Core XML Services 6.0. Features like integration of Network Access Protection (NAP) are also included in it.
The final version of RC3 is scheduled for release in the first two quarters of 2008.

How do i get the Rc1 for xp, I click on the link and it takes me to Microsoft Connect

Hello,
I have just downloaded & Installed SP3 RC1 in my system not any significant changes. Feels like a little improved performance.
No problems in installation even after installation.
Let me try it for some more days.

I can’t stand microsoft products anymore.. In my opinion Microsoft Office is the only thing that they did well..
I got impressed by the new mac os x Leopard…And thats why I moved to apple’s OS..
You should do what this mac ad says: give up on vista!
