Windows Vista Software Incompatibilities
There are a lot of softwares that do not work well with Windows Vista and so many vendors care less on making their older application versions compatible with the hope of getting their customers to upgrade to their new ones.
An example of this is Adobe Photoshop CS2 which doesn’t work fully well with Windows Vista and the only way to get the full functionality in the latest operating system is to upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS3 which costs $200. A new version of CS3 would cost you a whopping $649, not to mention the $500 to $800 you have dished out for a Windows Vista depending on the version.
Software companies not only Microsoft is trying to profit from Windows Vista. These incompatabilities is a combination of Microsoft’s operating system and the vendor’s desire to force customers to upgrade or buy their new version.
The only problem on the compatability issue is that Microsoft is taking the heat for all these problems.

The bigger problem is that software companies tend to completely focus on XP and dont even consider making their software work on Vista :(
