Internet TV on Windows Vista
Microsoft is making great grounds in invading the living room with the realization of their vision that started almost six years ago when they introduced XBox back in 2001.
XBox 360 which was released in 2005 hits Microsoft with more than $100 for each unit instead of making profit on each sale. The loss per sales doesn’t matter because Microsoft’s long-term goal is to build the a backbone for their product in the living rooms of the consumer.
True enough, Microsoft felt it was time to take the living room invasion into the next level by providing TV broadcast over a computer with Windows Vista Ultimate or Windows Vista Premium. This broadcast would also need an XBox 360 or a Home Media Extender.
The TV broadcast is provided free by Microsoft but it would contain ads to cover costs.
Microsoft is in talks with Google to provide TV broadcast across different countries as well. If both of these companies decide to make a run together, I would seriously doubt it would require Windows Vista for its broadcast.
