I had been using Vista with broadband with no problems until the past 3 months. The connection now has become sluggish and disconnects for no particular reason .. it seems to happen when there’s no activity for a while.. my isp suggested it might be my anti virus, which certainly wasn’t helping, but I’ve reinstalled the broadband software, uninstalled norton and got new anti-virus, but it still happens… what to do

Is it on a Desktop, or notebook? What Security software did you change to? I assume Norton scanned it regularly, and detected nothing harmless before you changed? (Norton may drag the resources, but I must admit, I never got a virus while using it) What type of broadband connection do you have, and who is your provider? (just a few more details….)
