The number behind Windows Vista Silences Competitors

by Milo on March 29th, 2007

It was believed that Windows XP was and will continue to be the biggest selling operating system for Microsoft. Analysts predicted long ago that consumers will continue to buy Windows XP and it would take Windows Vista at least two years before it can outpace the figures of its predecessor.

This year was predicted to be a slow start for Windows Vista and so the list goes on.

Contrary to the pessimistic belief that Windows Vista is no where near a big hit; Windows Vista has outsold Windows XP during the first months of launching.

Windows Vista sold 20 million licenses on the first month while Windows XP sold 17 million licenses in two months.

It may be due to a progressive and better marketing arm of Microsoft, or better operations; but whatever it is, the power of Windows Vista is the major reason customers are buying the technology.

Competitors can only claim how pathetic Windows Vista is, but the numbers is enough to silence them.
