Vista delay galore
Bill said in an interview that there’s a 80 percent chance for Windows Vista to be ready for its scheduled release in January. That means there is a 20 percent chance for another Vista delay.
According to a Dow Jones Newswires report, Gates told Microsoft software partners in South Africa this week that the operating system could be delayed yet again if beta testers turn up problems (via news.com).

I said there was an 80% chance of shipping on time. That doesn’t mean a 20% chance of delay, it just means a 20% chance that we won’t ship when expected. We *could* ship it early.
