As we reported earlier, the Windows Vista Sidebar feature is to be made available at some stage to users of Windows XP.
Tech-Recipes has all the unofficial ingredients for running the Sidebar on XP, including a link for downloading the files. Caution is recommended as all of this software is in early beta.

The European Union Commission has appointed a trustee to oversee Microsoft’s compliance with last year’s rulings on “monopoly abuse”. According to the New York Times :

Ed Bott reminds us that tomorrow Friday is the 4th anniversary of Robert Scoble’s occupancy of his seat at Radio Weblogs as Microsoft evangelist.

Following more speculation on the release date of Vista Beta 2, Softpedia is going for end January or the beginning of February 2006.
