Hotfix fixes dates for Windows Vista

by John on October 26th, 2005

Although Microsoft Product Manager for Windows Vista, Michael Burk, has not given an exact timeframe, Ethan Allen of Hotfix has zeroed-in on 25 July, 2006 as the date for release to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

OEMs will need to “get a jump on the Christmas season”, says Allen, a Microsoft beta tester.

Allen has a history of being generally correct on dates, with Microsoft agreeing later.

He has also named 16 December 2005 as the date for the release of Beta 2 of the operating system software.
