Sparkle is back in Windows Vista
If you think you lack sparkle you may like to take a trip to Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference (PDC) in San Francisco in mid-September.
Sources at Redmond have indicated that Microsoft’s new multimedia developer tool, Sparkle, which is expected to be part of Expression Studio, will debut at next month’s PDC.
Eweek reports : “Sparkle will be one element of the upcoming Expression Studio suite of design and developer tools for the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), formerly known as Avalon.”
Expression Studio will also ship with a design tool provisionally called Acrylic, which Microsoft said last week will support the Microsoft Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML). Other components of Expression Studio will be unrolled over time
We understand that sources at Redmond say that Expression Studio’s principal aim is to take back some of the design ground conceded to Adobe and Macromedia.
